American Idol

Hey!
Just a quick post, American idol started its new series tonight on FOX.
Its interesting because The X Factor has only just finished recently in the UK so Simon Cowell must only have a month or so off from this sort of thing and then go back to it.
Also, this was advertised everywhere. All day long on the radio and also when I went to Walmart it was advertised on screens at all of the checkouts. It would be very difficult to avoid American Idol.
Another quick point, Simon Cowells production company Syco TV produces The X Factor in the UK, I see that American Idol is credited to Simon Fuller who created Pop Idol in the UK. Why is Pop Idol not running in the UK? From my understanding Cowell went on to produce and create X Factor from Pop Idol and him and Fuller were rivals?
Most probably not, as everything in the mainstream media, you are never sure what is real and what is a “work” as they call it in wrestling terms. Indeed, is this just a post to drive traffic from the term American Idol????

Sunny Florida

Hello!
Just a quick post to tell you all that im back in sunny Florida staying at my villa. Im going to try and post a few bits while im here. Ive also purchased an inexpensive camcorder so that I can post some video segments up onto youtube while im here. I have a Sony mini DV camcorder but no way of converting the videos to youtube while im here so I purchased the Flip Video camcorder from Walmart yesterday and will be using it while I am here.

New plans for 2008

Im going to be posting some new plans and ideas that Im going to implement for 2008. I am incredibly busy at the moment, Im still in the middle of a property deal here in the UK and also have a lot of commitments here and in the US.
Im going to be back in Florida at the end of the week and Im going to use the trip to reflect on the past year and lay out my goals and plans for 2008. Im also going to post a few vlogs while Im there using my mobile phone, or cell phone as they call it.
Its late now and I know I havnt posted anything for sometime but I will be next week from sunny Florida. I will be posting some very interesting info on how Im getting approx 400 new sign ups daily to my dating sites so hold tight for that!

In the meantime heres and interesting article that I receive in my email every so often, its an exclusive newsletter that Im going to share with you.

Laying it out for 2008, a newsletter writeen by a good friend of mine:

Survival comes easy to mankind – so don’t think a plan for your own survival in 2008 will take a great deal of effort – it won’t. You just need a basic plan and you need to stick to it. By definition that will exclude a great many people, since most people can’t stick to anything they say – I just hope you are not one of them.

Let’s kick off with the strategic plan – we’ll look at the tactics later.

First of all, take responsibility for your own financial well-being. I don’t care whether it is Gordon Brown or the Captain of the Titanic shouting out the orders – I will walk to the beat of my own drum. You must take ownership for your own financial future.
Secondly, prepare to be in the minority. Accept that the lunatics are running the asylum and you will take a totally different view on how you see the world. Following the crowd rarely leads to success in any walk of life.
Do not hide from your personal finances. Just getting by, month to month, is not what success looks like. Sometimes it takes a financial shock to bring people to their senses, but far better if you can do it when you are not under pressure. Pay off all your bad debt.
Do not pretend it will get better – it won’t. If it hasn’t got better in the last five years why should it get better in the next five years. Take action to change your thinking, to change your habits and the results that you have got used to.
Analyse your habits. Your habits define not only who you are but what you will achieve in life.
Aim to double your personal wealth every seven years. By focussing on the big numbers you will stop wasting valuable thinking time concentrating on Bonus Points and saving 2p on a litre of fuel. Looking after the pennies does not make you rich, it just means you have a jar full of coins at Christmas.
Be all that you can be – above all else, do that - be all that you can be.
Thank your God, or someone else ’s god if you haven’t got one of your own, for the good things in your life, particularly your health and your family. Money buys a lot of things, but it doesn’t buy everything.

Paper Money And Gold

Im going to be writing a lot of posts soon on what I believe about the British Pound and indeed the US Dollar. One thing I have been fascinated by is that both of these currencies are totally dependant on belief. Indeed, I beieve that everthing is perception and everything is based on perception. Each persons belief is perception of that person.
Money in whatever form is money if we believe it is money. Paper money and electronic money if connected to a currency looses value each day. Thats what it is designed to do. In the USA you have the Federal Reserve which can basically print whatever notes it needs. this is also true in the UK. Take for example the recent run on Northern Rock, the Bank Of England stepped in and said that it would gaurantee all deposits and savings. How can it do this? It will just print off more notes. The Bank Of England can print of bank notes whenever it wants to.
I will go into this more in depth if requested, but a recent investor email I received recomended other investments, I thought it was a great message and so am sharing it with you, it went something like this:

I have had many enquiries about investing in gold. Gold is not a way of getting rich, it is more a way of not getting poor. I believe that everyone should own some gold because lying, cheating, robbing governments will devalue every other currency until it is worthless.

If you wanted to buy your son something that would still be valuable in one year, in ten years, in fifty years time - it would not be an ipod or a PSP. It would be gold.

Every ounce of gold ever mined still exists today, and there isn’t very much of it.

In fact there is only 158,000 tonnes in existence. Enough to cover a football field to a depth of four feet. It is a very small market indeed.

For thousands of years gold has been a reliable store of wealth. Why? Simply because it carries no debt for what it is worth. It is not so much what gold is, that makes it valuable, it is more about what gold isn’t. And what it isn’t - is easily replaceable.

Paper currencies are all very well, provided they have some sort of backing, other than a handful of promises from lying politicians. When paper money was backed by gold there was less for us to worry about than today. Today, there is a lot to be worried about.

We have a credit crisis now because people have been borrowing money they should have never been lent in the first place. Where did that money come from? Why the Americans printed it of course.

This week the French President is in the United States trying to prevent the US dollar problem becoming a global dollar problem. I wish him well.

Over 40 years ago, the French were there with a different approach altogether.

In February 1965, President De Gaulle, said “What the United States owes to foreign countries, it pays, at least in part, with dollars that it can simply issue if it chooses to”.

De Gaulle fully understood the implication of having the dollar as the reserve currency and, in true French tradition, responded accordingly.

Since dollars could still be exchanged for gold at the time, De Gaulle instructed the Banque de France to increase the rate at which new dollars were converted to gold bullion.

Get this.

De Gaulle sent the French navy across the Atlantic to hand over dollars and pick up gold bullion in exchange. In 1965 alone, the French navy ferried back over $150 million of gold bullion. De Gaulle had no time for paper currency that the Americans could print whenever they felt like it.

Note the time scales here - this is only forty years ago.

Three years later De Gaulle pulled out of the London Gold pool, a government-run cartel that worked to keep the gold price down (something you will be reading more and more about in the years ahead). As the run on gold continued (so much so that gold was being airlifted from Fort Knox to New York to try and satisfy demand, America played the ultimate card and closed the “gold-window” which meant governments could no longer swap their dollars for something of real value. Since 1946, under what was known as the Bretton Woods Agreement, paper money could be swapped for gold. That luxury had just been taken away and now the US had established the dollar as the reserve currency and they owned the printing presses.

Has a better deal ever been struck in the history of the world?

For the past forty years, dear reader, you have lived through this experiment with paper money. Now you know how we got to be where we are today. And it isn’t pretty.

“How will America ever pay off its debts?” I hear people say. Well, they’ve got the printing presses is the answer.

De Gaulle called the dollar “America’s exorbitant privilege”. How right he was.

And you wonder how the Americans have enjoyed such a high standard of living for so long.

Today the world has the dollar as the reserve currency and has no choice but to accept it.

I buy gold because I do not think that this situation will last for ever.

Meanwhile this week is a good time to lament the loss of our very own gold reserves.

When the value of gold reached $830 an ounce last week it’s worth became three times the average price Gordon Brown sold our own gold for back in 1999. That’s right, just eight years ago.

In a series of auctions between 1999 and 2002, 395 tonnes of the 715 tonnes in the Bank of England’s reserves were sold at a rock bottom price. Around $275 an ounce to be exact. It took our gold reserves down from 17 per cent to 7 per cent of assets and was done, according to some reports, against the advice of then Bank of England governor, Eddie George.

The World Gold Council chief executive, Haruko Fukuda, said at the time. “This is a political decision, in preparation for joining the Euro. This move appears to be pre-empting the promised referendum. Gold has special characteristics. It has been held as a reserve for thousands of years. Its value does not rely on anybody else’s promise to pay, unlike cash, and it builds public confidence.”

This has all happened in our life time - we have all been too busy to notice or care. Instead of watching “X-Factor” or “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here”, take some time out to reflect on your investment strategy.

And if you come up with a better scam than having paper money replace gold as the reserve currency, then I beg you, please let me in on it, eh?

Dating Affiliates Make Money

Im still growing my dating affiliate revenues. Ive been pushing dating sites for a few years now and am now in the growth mindset again. On just one network I have more than doubled my monthly income in the last 3 months or so. In what “normal job” can you do that? i was listening to Radio 2 today and Chris Evans has a spot called office talk or something like that, anyhow, somebody was proud of getting a three grand raise a year! what the! I am working on getting a three grand raise a month! not a year! Ive been increasing my revenue at a figure of 40% growth per month. Thats not bad, I want it better though.

So, do most people give up after the first few months? Is this market flooded now?

Hi Ben,
Welcome to the fold. I have been with DC for a while now and can not praise them enough. Mike is as honest as the day is long, more than helpful and runs a brilliant business.
With regard to your concerns I have only one comment to make - BOLLOCKS. I think you are looking at things from the wrong perspective as you seem to imply that cost of joining is the determining factor in the success of a site. I can categorically tell you that this is totally wrong. Regardless of what others may tell you - Price is irrelevant. There IS a limit - but I bet it is FAR higher than you imagine. I get 24.99 for one month’s Membership.
I started my sites with Mike about three years ago and should be hitting over 100,000 per annum soon. After the first couple of months I looked at my profits and decided they were OK. Then I doubled my prices after seeing a post on this Forum. Both Sales and Rebills more than doubled. Selling is all about perceived value - the more expensive an item is the more people will value it. I don’t want cheapskates anyway.
Anybody who is serious about Internet dating knows that cheapo and free sites only carry low quality members. From the Affiliates perspective you really need the guts to go for a higher price band and stick with it. The cost of selling a cheap membership is just the same as selling one at double the price - so you might as well have double the income. The secret of success is PERSEVERENCE. You also NEED to keep accurate stats of Free Registrations and Sales. From this you can work out the cost of acquiring a new sale precisely. If you do this then you can easily see the effect of any changes in promotion. You should only alter one thing at a time and wait at least 21 days before evaluating the results. In my stats there is a 17 Day Effect. This means that all promotional material takes 17 days for the results to come through. If you track everything accurately and don’t get cold feet at putting your prices up then you can not help but succeed. The other thing to do is to completely forget the Romance and Friendship Networks. The thing that sells best in the Dating Industry is SEX. Go exclusively for the Fetish and Swinger sites. They are far easier to target - have more money and are not the brightest lights on the Christmas Tree, but they don’t half spend. I have Rebills that have been running for nearly three years. 18 month rebills make for a lot of cash at the end of the day. EVERY one of my Members Rebills at least ONCE - this includes the ones who only pay one month’s subscription. This means every sale is in effect TWO sales. S0… by doing the above you can get 400% more income than normal. If you know anything better please let me know :0)
I think the reason the Forums are not buzzing is because most people have nothing to say, apart from the ones moaning about trivial problems. I can honestly say I have never had ANYTHING to complain about with regard to dealing with the Admin. at Dating Central and I am more than happy to follow Mike’s lead in the way he guides the sites’ development.
The expansion potential of the Dating Industry is infinite - don’t worry about that. The more sophisticated the other sites go the happier I am. ALL Americans loue statistics - that’s what drives the “developmnents” of the Big Fish as you call them. The fallout from this is two fold. First ultra “sophisticated” sites only baffle people after a while - Keep It Simple. Secondly Women do NOT like masses of extra facilities hitting them in the face. All they want is a SIMPLE Inbox that’s full when they logon. If you want to check this then just go on a “bells and whistles” site and look at the last time people logged on. DatingDirect.com has the simplest interface imaginable- NO IM or anything - just straight e-mailing. They have the largest number of members in the UK. Membership numbers, apart from being inflated, are also less important than they seem. The US has a population of 360 million. The Uk has 58 million. In the US 50 miles to travel is a killer for a date. The US population is so fragmented that it really boils dwn to a few dozen Hot Spots. The UK in compasrison is much bigger and therefore a better market.The percentage of paying Members in the UK is better than the US, where everything has to be free. Study the industry you are in and you will see a growth rate that will astound you. My own growth rate is 8.09% per month. This means my income doubles every 12 months. I doubt there is any other industry where these sorts of figures can be found. Plus you get all this for a couple of hours work each day.

You have hit lucky here. Plan your business properly and keep accurate records and you can not fail to make an excellent income. If you do then it’s because you haven’t worked it the right way.

Controversy Creates Cash

Everytime I visit Florida and switch on the TV set I see infomercials. these are long advertisments shown in the day time and late at night. They sell everything from weight loss tablets, AB crunching machines to real Estate programs and how to get rich type schemes. Theres not many programmes of this type made in the UK, but in the US these are big business.

When over in Florida 3 years back one infomercial caught my attention. It was hosted by a guy called Kevin Trudeau. He was selling a book that prommised natural cures of common dieseses. The selling point was that the book contained cures that “they” dont want you to know about. Whos “they” you ask? Well Trudeau points out that they are the FTC, FDA and other gouvernment bodies in the US including drug companies themselves. Trudeau goes on to explain that these drug companies in the US want us all to be sick so that they can sell us more drugs.

What a fantastic pitch! Now I dont know whether Trudeaus claims are true or not but by claiming these kind of things opens him up to all sorts of attacks. Now this is the point, they say in marketing that there is no such thing as bad press, I would agree. This book is so contraversual that tons of articles have be written on this. This has of course propelled Trudeaus book into the best seller status. Indeed, the book is still selling very well indeed. Everytime I visit Florida and swich on the TV, Trudeau is there again pushing his books.

I found on You Tube this video calling Trudeau a liar, again this only fuels the controversy and creates yet more cash, there are other reports that estimate that Trudeau is pulling in approx four million dollars a week from his books.

Im Still Here!

Hey guys!
Im still here! Just chillin for a week or so and really really thinking about the future, where Im going and all the things I need to complete over the next few weeks before Christmas!!
Ive been trying to get over to my place in Florida over the last few months but Im in the middle of a big property deal here in the UK at the moment so have left the trip on hold. Fear not, I will be back over to Florida soon and have some big ideas and new projects to implement there soon.

Back in the UK, I am in the middle of a property deal at the moment which is really dragging out, its not the best deal on earth but it will allow me to move foreward with my business and structure what Im doing at the moment, so it is important.

The Jeremy Kyle Show

Hi
Just a thought and view I had the other day while driving over to Northampton to deliver a car. For those of you who dont know I sell cars on ebay part time. It makes some extra money, I was at one stage making a load of money doing it but Im only part time with it now as Im focussing on back on my internet ventures.

I dont listen to the radio much, well not main stream radio. I havnt been watching much TV over the summer either. I also dont read any tabloid newspapers. In fact I havnt read a newspaper for months. I havnt purchased a newspaper for over 5 years.

This gives me a different outlook on life compared to the masses. The masses read tabloid newspapers, watch the news on TV( incidently I havnt watched the news on TV for months either) and genrally lap up all of the messages given through the mass media. I think that the masses think that everybody does this or most people do this and if you dont then you are weird.

Now, back to my journey in the car. Like I said, i was delivering a car to a customer on Saturday morning. The journey was approx an hour. While in the car I put on the radio, I happened to tune in to Chiltern Radio 96.9 which is a local station and heard for the first time The Jeremy Kyle Show on the radio. Now I do know of Jeremy Kyle, I have seen little bits of his television show on ITV so I have seen bits of him. I first wondered if this was only a local show, but with a quick scan of the FM band I found that this show was going out on lots of local stations, Q103, Hereward, Horizon, and so on. So it was obviously networked.

What I found interesting was the fact that callers into the show were unaware of anything outside of the masses. Jeremy had a guest on the show in the shape of Kerry Katona. Now I have also heard of Kerry, She was I believe in a girl band Atomic Kitten and she also is in adverts for Iceland promoting food for people with no brains. Anyway, here she was talking and chatting to Jeremy. This was a phone in show and what struck me was a caller that phoned in, this caller asked Kerry a few questions one of which went along thse lines:

Caller: Hi Kerry
Kerry: Hi
Caller: Kerry can you tell me if all of the bad press you have had recently has affected your kids?
Kerry: My kids dont know about bad press, they dont read The News Of The World.
Caller: Yes, but everbody knows about all this, the other kids at school must tell them.
Kerry: A six year old doesnt read The News Of The World and doesnt know about all of that.
Caller: Yes but they must know, everbody knows, people must talk.

The point that struck me was that because the caller knew about the press and because everbody she hangs out with is probably talking about Kerry Katona then everybody knows. The caller did not understand how anybody would not know about the press articles and not know about that world.

This is the point. That caller must be very narrow minded. I try and understand that different people have different outlooks. The caller just couldnt comprehend this. Well caller, I can tell you this. I have heard of Kerry Katona and I know her from some adverts, other than that I have no idea what press she is having. I have no idea about the stories you are talking about and I have no idea whether she has been in the tabloid press recently or not. The same as you probably think that its impossible to make money without a job. If I told you that I bank 5 figures a month you would probably make a remark like “Your in cloud cuckoo land” You have to realise that your world is not the only world. The same as I realise that my world is not the only world and Im not surprised when people say that they dont understand my way of thinking.

Each person is in their own world, but just because MOST people read tabloids and MOST people know about Kerry Katonas press not everybody does. There are people walking amongst who are living extraordinary lives and are doing things the masses cant even comprehend.

I tell you I couldnt believe how healthy Subway was until I saw the latest episode of “The Biggest Loser” on NBC. I love reality Television. I cant get enough. I also love The Sun newspaper and any media either controlled by the government or advertisers. (joke)

Asians For Asians

Something somebody said to me last Saturday night at the networking event got me thinking. In fact Ive been thinking about it all week, I finally took some action today and set up a brand new Asian Dating Site in the form of Asians For Asians

You need to listen to lots of people when you network. Keep your eyes and ears open at all times. Somebody mentioned that Asian dating was a good business, well I know the dating business and I would say that Adult dating was the best business.
